The SOC Manager will oversee the monitoring and response to security incidents and ensure the implementation of robust security measures.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the investigation and response to security incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolution of security threats.
Ensure 24/7 monitoring of security events and alerts, and prepare regular reports for stakeholders on security posture and incident trends.
Collaborate with the client to develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures to enhance security practices.
Stay informed about the latest security threats and vulnerabilities, and implement relevant threat intelligence into the SOC operations.
Work closely with IT and other departments to ensure alignment of security measures with business operations and compliance requirements.
Oversee the selection and implementation of security tools, effectively leveraging SIEM and other technologies to enhance monitoring and response capabilities.
Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for SOC effectiveness, and continuously improve processes based on metrics and outcomes.
Conduct regular security assessments to identify risks and recommend appropriate mitigations

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
Minimum 7 years of experience in information security, with at least 3 years in SOC environment.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are preferred.
Strong understanding of security principles, threat landscapes, and security technologies (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls).
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in incident analysis and reporting.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
