Our banking client is expanding their team and looking for some Permanent positions for leading the development of their Fintech Platform
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the fintech platform, ensuring architecture, delivery, availability, and reliability meet business and operational goals.
- Lead microservice architecture design and delivery that can support complex workflows and high-volume transaction processing.
- Collaborate with the cyber security team to align the platform with cyber security requirements, security controls, and assurance expectations.
- Establish and enforce coding standards, review practices, and engineering quality guidelines across services and shared libraries.
- Own and improve Cloud Native and microservice platform foundations, including scalability patterns, observability, and resilience design.
- Design and manage CI/CD pipelines to support frequent, safe releases with automated testing, artifact management, and deployment controls.
- Drive system analysis and solution architecture for major initiatives, including requirements translation into technical designs and delivery plans.
- Mentor and lead engineers/teams on technical execution, architecture trade-offs, and performance/security considerations.
- Utilize AI tools to accelerate development and delivery while maintaining compliance and quality.
Qualifications:
- University degree in Information Technology or related disciplines.
- Over 15 years’ working experience in application development, with strong background from banking and financial industry.
- Proven ability to lead end-to-end platform architecture, development and delivery
- Work closely with cybersecurity teams and translate security requirements into actionable architecture, design patterns, and implementation guidance.
- Expertise in Cloud Native and microservice architecture, capable to design microservice systems that handle complex business domains and high-volume traffic reliably.
- Strong CI/CD pipeline knowledge (automation, release strategies, quality gates, rollback/restore readiness, and secure pipeline practices).
- Ability to define and enforce coding standards, coding guidelines, and engineering quality processes across teams.
- Ability to leverage AI tools in a pragmatic, controlled way to improve development productivity and engineering throughput.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Good command of English and Cantonese, Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
- Candidate with less experience would be considered as Architect or System Analyst role.
